CVF-12000-12P Fruit and Vegetable Vacuum Precooler — 12 Pallets, 12000kg per Batch
The CVF-12000-12P precools 12000kg per batch across 12 pallets from 25-30°C to 0-10°C in 20-30 minutes using a 66.56m³ chamber.
CVF-12000-12P is a Yuanxian twelve-pallet vegetable vacuum pre-cooler: 12000kg per batch, cools ambient produce (25~30°C) to 0~10°C in 20~30 minutes, vacuum chamber volume 66.56m³, ultimate vacuum ≤600Pa. Equipped with 2 Hanbell RC2-510B-Z screw compressors and 4 Leybold SV630 vacuum pumps, intended for origin集中 pre-cooling with large daily throughput. The specific condensing method (A / W / E) is confirmed per order.
Where it is used
For large-batch origin集中 pre-cooling: 12 standard pallets per load, whole-pallet in, whole-pallet out, no need to unpack crates or baskets during peak harvest集中收储.
| Application | Typical customer | Throughput per batch |
|---|---|---|
| Leafy vegetables (lettuce, spinach, choy sum, Chinese kale) | Export vegetable farms, origin purchasing stations | Approx. 12000kg |
| Edible fungi (shiitake, oyster mushroom, enoki) | Mushroom farms, cooperatives | Approx. 12000kg |
| Cut flowers (rose, lily, chrysanthemum) | Flower exporters | Approx. 12000kg |
| Berries and pre-cut vegetables | Post-harvest handling centers, sorting and packing facilities | Approx. 12000kg |
Origins with a smaller daily throughput can look at the eight-pallet and six-pallet models in the vacuum pre-cooler series.
How it cools
Water boils at 100°C at atmospheric pressure; when the chamber is pumped below 600Pa, the boiling point of water approaches 0°C. Moisture on the produce surface begins to evaporate, and each 1kg of water evaporated carries away about 2500kJ of heat. This heat is taken directly from the produce itself, so cooling proceeds from the surface inward and is uniform throughout the chamber.
| Step | Component | Function |
|---|---|---|
| ① Loading | Hydraulic door + conveying system | 12 pallets loaded whole |
| ② Vacuum pumping | Leybold SV630 vacuum pumps ×4 (15kW each, 60kW total) | Pump chamber from atmospheric pressure to ≤600Pa |
| ③ Cooling | Vacuum chamber (66.56m³) | Surface moisture evaporates, produce cools |
| ④ Water capture | Water catcher (Yuanxian in-house, evaporating temperature -10~-5°C) | Condenses water vapor, protects vacuum pumps |
| ⑤ Cold retention | Hanbell screw compressor units ×2 (2×163kW) | Maintains water catcher at low temperature, assists chamber cooling |
| ⑥ Stop | LS microcomputer control | Automatic stop when set temperature is reached |
Water vapor is condensed into water and drained by the water catcher before entering the vacuum pumps, so pump oil does not emulsify. Cooling is delivered by glycol refrigerant circulation pumps to the shell-and-tube evaporator and the water catcher; no separate air coolers are fitted to the chamber.

Condensing method (difference between model suffixes A / W / E)
| Suffix | Condensing method | Description |
|---|---|---|
| A | Air-cooled condenser | No water or cooling tower required, suitable for origins with limited water |
| W | Water-cooled (with cooling tower) | Requires cooling tower and circulating water system, low condensing temperature |
| E | Evaporative condenser | Heat dissipation by evaporation, low water consumption, suitable for dry hot regions |
The delivery configuration in this model’s knowledge base is an evaporative condenser; the specific condensing method is confirmed per order.

Why choose CVF-12000-12P
One cycle fills 12 pallets 12000kg per batch; loading and unloading are whole-pallet in and out, so during peak harvest you can schedule by batch without unpacking goods and reloading into baskets.
Uniform throughout the chamber, no cold spots Heat is removed by evaporation of surface moisture; all layers in the chamber cool at the same time, so there is no situation where the surface is already cold while the core is still hot.
Cooling capacity and pumping speed matched to a 12-ton batch 2 × 163kW screw units provide 955kW of cooling capacity, and 4 SV630 pumps run in parallel to evacuate the 66.56m³ chamber from atmospheric pressure to 600Pa within the cycle rhythm.
No defrost step required A cycle is 20~30 minutes, and there is no frost formation or defrost cycle in the chamber. If the cycle time is noticeably longer during operation, check the chamber seal first — door gasket, valve seals, chamber welds — rather than adding a defrost program or increasing cooling capacity.
FAQ
How much can it hold at a time? 12 standard pallets (1200×1000mm), about 1000kg per pallet, approx. 12000kg total. Stacking density differs by product category; actual loading capacity is confirmed per order.
How long does one cycle take? 20~30 minutes. Categories with high loading density and high moisture content take somewhat longer; confirmed per order.
Why are 4 vacuum pumps fitted? The chamber is 66.56m³, and the pumping volume required to reach 600Pa is much larger than on smaller models; 4 SV630 pumps in parallel are needed to complete the pressure reduction within the cycle rhythm. The target vacuum for pre-cooling is ≤600Pa; rotary vane pumps are sufficient, and no Roots pump is fitted — a Roots pump only shows a clear gain after the backing pump has pulled the pressure below 1kPa, has limited effect in the 600Pa range, and adds another maintenance point.
How much power margin should be allowed? Running power is 416.2kW, standard power supply 3P-380V-50Hz; 60Hz / 480V for export projects is confirmed per order. Incoming line, circuit breakers and transformer capacity must be calculated according to the final power system and site conditions, confirmed per order.
What is the weight loss rate? The weight loss rate of leafy vegetables during pre-cooling varies with category, loading density and infeed temperature. For categories sensitive to weight loss (such as edible fungi and berries), the final pressure setpoint can be lowered to reduce weight loss; specific values are confirmed per order.
How to choose the condensing method? According to local water source conditions, climate and site: choose air-cooled for origins with limited water or low winter temperatures, water-cooled where a cooling tower and circulating water are available, and evaporative cooling for dry hot regions. The model suffixes for the three configurations are A / W / E respectively.
