Vietnamese Leafy Green Farm: 40% Longer Shelf Life with CVF-2000E
A 50-hectare leafy green farm in Da Lat, Vietnam reduced post-harvest loss from 18% to 5% and extended shelf life from 5 to 14 days using a CVF-2000E vacuum pre-cooler.
The Challenge
A 50-hectare leafy green farm in Da Lat, Vietnam was losing 18% of their harvest to spoilage before reaching the Ho Chi Minh City market. With 8-ton daily harvests of lettuce, spinach, and kale during peak season, the losses were unacceptable. Their existing cold room took 6+ hours to cool produce to storage temperature.
The Solution
We installed a CVF-2000E vacuum pre-cooler (4-pallet, evaporative condenser) at the packhouse sorting line. The unit processes 2,000 kg per batch in 30-minute cycles.
