Thailand Mushroom Facility: From 8 Hours to 30 Minutes
A mushroom production facility in Chiang Mai cut cooling time from 8 hours to 30 minutes with a CVF-1000E vacuum cooler. Mushroom quality improved and waste dropped by 60%.
The Challenge
A mushroom farm in Chiang Mai, Thailand producing 3 tons/day of enoki, shiitake, and oyster mushrooms struggled with rapid browning and weight loss after harvest. Their cold room required 8 hours to bring mushrooms from 25°C to 4°C, by which time quality had already degraded.
The Solution
We installed a CVF-1000E vacuum pre-cooler with a 6-tier trolley system designed for mushroom crates. The unit processes 1,000 kg per batch in 25–30 minutes.
