CVF-1000-2P is the Yuanxian two-pallet standard vegetable vacuum pre-cooler: 1000kg per batch, cooling ambient produce (25~30°C) to 1~10°C in about 30 minutes, vacuum chamber 8m³, ultimate vacuum ≤600Pa, fitted with a Bitzer screw compressor 34kW and a Leybold SV300 rotary vane vacuum pump. Condenser type confirmed per order (air-cooled A / water-cooled W / evaporative E).
Where it is used
For origin pre-cooling sites handling 3~8 tons per day: two standard pallets load and unload as whole pallets, without unpacking crates or changing transfer boxes, and vacuum is pulled right after loading. Suitable for the post-harvest pre-cooling step at growing bases, origin purchasing stations and fruit and vegetable cooperatives.
| Application | Typical customer | Capacity per batch |
|---|---|---|
| Leafy vegetables (lettuce, spinach, choy sum, Chinese kale) | Export vegetable farms, origin purchasing stations | about 1000kg |
| Edible fungi (shiitake, oyster mushroom, enoki) | Mushroom farms, cooperatives | about 1000kg |
| Berries and small fruit (strawberry, blueberry, cherry) | Post-harvest handling centers, sorting and packing points | 800~1000kg |
| Cut flowers (rose, lily, chrysanthemum) | Flower growers and exporters | converted by stem count |
Sites with a larger daily throughput can look at the four-pallet and six-pallet models in the vacuum pre-cooler series.
How it cools
Water boils at 100°C at atmospheric pressure; when the chamber pressure is pulled below 600Pa, the boiling point of water approaches 0°C. Moisture on the surface of the produce evaporates under low pressure, and each 1kg of water evaporated carries away about 2500kJ of heat. The heat is drawn directly from the produce itself, so cooling proceeds from the surface inward and is uniform throughout the chamber, with no need to blow cold air in by circulation.
| Step | Component | Function |
|---|---|---|
| ① Loading | Hydraulic flap door + pallet trolley | 2 standard pallets enter the chamber as whole pallets, door closed in position |
| ② Pulling vacuum | Leybold SV300 rotary vane vacuum pump (5.5kW, 300m³/h) | Chamber pumped from atmospheric pressure to ≤600Pa |
| ③ Cooling | Vacuum chamber (8m³) | Surface moisture evaporates, produce cools itself |
| ④ Water capture | Water catcher (Yuanxian in-house design, evaporating temperature -10~-5°C) | Condenses water vapor, keeping moisture out of the vacuum pump |
| ⑤ Cold holding | Bitzer screw compressor 34kW | Maintains the water catcher at low temperature, continuously removing heat from the water vapor |
| ⑥ Stop | PLC + touch screen | Automatic stop when the set end temperature is reached, then pressure release and door opening |
Pressure-release air passes through 0.006μm grade filtration, so no unfiltered air enters the chamber when the door is opened.

Condenser type (difference between model suffixes A / W / E)
| Suffix | Condenser type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| A | Air-cooled condenser | No water and no cooling tower needed, suitable for water-scarce origins and low-temperature winter regions |
| W | Water-cooled (with cooling tower) | Requires a cooling tower and circulating water system, low condensing temperature |
| E | Evaporative condenser | Heat dissipated by evaporation, low water consumption, suitable for dry hot regions |
This model (no suffix) is the standard configuration; the specific condenser type is confirmed per order. Comparable models already delivered in Canada are fitted with air-cooled condensers and 600V/60Hz power; Middle East projects are fitted with air-cooled condensers and 380V/50Hz power.

Why choose it
Two pallets is one truckload 1000kg per batch fills two 1200×800mm standard pallets, so a single collection truck can take it away, with no need to make up a full load or wait for storage. Scheduling is smoothest for sites handling 3~8 tons per day.
The 8m³ chamber pumps down quickly The smaller the chamber, the less gas has to be removed to reach 600Pa; a cycle takes about 30 minutes, most of which is spent on evaporative cooling rather than pumping.
No defrost step needed A cycle lasts 30 minutes, and there is no frost formation and defrost cycle in the chamber. If the cycle time becomes noticeably longer during operation, check the chamber seal first — door gasket, valve seals, chamber welds — rather than adding a defrost program.
The vacuum system is matched to the target pressure The pre-cooling target vacuum is ≤600Pa, for which one SV300 rotary vane pump is sufficient; no Roots pump is fitted. A Roots pump generally shows a clear gain only after the backing pump has pulled the chamber below 1kPa, has limited effect in the 600Pa range, and adds another maintenance point.
FAQ
How much can it hold at a time? 2 standard pallets, about 1000kg for leafy vegetables. Edible fungi and berries have different bulk densities, so the actual load is confirmed per order.
How long does it take to go from ambient to the target temperature? About 30 minutes (ambient 25~30°C down to 2°C). Products with high load density and high moisture content take longer; leaving air space at the crate openings before loading keeps the time more stable.
What is the weight loss rate? Vacuum pre-cooling loses about 1% of weight per 5.5°C of cooling; under normal loading the overall weight loss is generally 1~2%. For products sensitive to weight loss such as edible fungi and berries, it can be reduced by controlling the end pressure and pumping speed; specifics are confirmed per order.
How much power supply capacity should be allowed? 3P-380V-50Hz, running current 69A, maximum running current 84A; a 150A breaker is recommended. For export destinations with 60Hz power, motors are re-selected per order.
How to choose the condenser type? Air-cooled (A) for water-scarce origins and low winter temperatures; water-cooled (W) where a cooling tower and circulating water are available; evaporative (E) for dry hot regions where water saving is wanted. The three configurations share the same chamber and vacuum system; the difference is on the condensing side.
